Farewell Tour?

Reunion Tour

Reunion Tour? Dank and dark. They say this beer is brewed for die-hard rockers that are walking on stage for one last show. Sounds like a farewell tour, I think Cher did a few of those.

I doubt that The Fugees will be quaffing down this dank and dark IPA after their reunion tour shows, it doesn’t sound like Ms. Lauryn Hill’s beverage of choice. Phil Collins and Genesis will probably pass on this brew as well. Would Simon and Garfunkel be back together singing “Hello dankness my old friend….”? And after 40 years apart I wonder what the bandmates from ABBA will be drinking after their reunion show? Actually I really don’t know and don’t care, but I doubt it is a black IPA. I also wonder how well their tight sequined pantsuits fit these days, which brings to mind a disturbing visual.

A black IPA? I have never heard of such a thing. Looks great in the glass, spooky dark with a tan head. Looks like a stout, smells like an IPA, dank and hoppy. Dark and dank seems to be an adequate descriptor. Another “complex” brew. Not surprisingly, it tastes like a cross between a stout and an IPA. Hoppy but also dark and strong of flavour as opposed to crisp. More of a fall, winter drink despite its IPA moniker. It was different, and I think I enjoyed it for that reason alone. But I would not have it on my list of regular go to brews. I don’t think this brew is for everyone, but maybe if you are getting the band back together you should give it a try.
