Nice pour, great looking amber with a nice white head, good aroma as well. Snacks and Sunday night football on, all settled in for a positive amber experience.
I am finding the difference between amber lagers and amber ales is quite noticeable. Lagers tend to be more substantial, but this brew is all about flavour. Not hoppy or creamy, but very flavourful. Not overpowering, quite enjoyable, especially for an amber lover such as myself. Not a full bodied amber but still smooth, not watery. My first choice would be an amber lager, but this ale holds up well.
A great fall/winter, while watching the game, or in front of the fire (despite the ban), in a comfy chair, with your favourite salty snack at hand, toasting sociable, kind of brew.*
