After an old comrade of Frank gave us a red scare, now Frank is encouraging us to relax and enjoy a smooth Hoperator.** Relax, take a load off, chill and swill. Some sound advice if I do say so myself. According to the can this beer is the result of “nice guys working hard”, I guess so that this cranky guy doesn’t have to. I certainly hope Frank has a chance to chill and swill the fruit of his labours, because this is one tasty brew.
A pour to be proud of as I pat myself on the back, which is a bit of a stretch I know. A deep golden hue with a fulsome frost to top things off. A hoppy citrus IPA aroma, smells tasty and fresh. The taste is a citrusy juice malt mix resulting in a soft pillowy mouthfeel with hoppy bitters. All in balance. A solid full flavoured balanced mix, the malt seems to be just right as it doesn’t go funky on me but stays smooth and hoppy. It is citrus hoppy with grapefruit bitters, an enjoyable full-bodied refresher.
No Hoperating any heavy equipment after a few of these pales. Just relax and enjoy the brew.
