All Day IPA

Founders out of Grand Rapids Michigan is inviting me to drink all day. These days I am not sure I could drink all day without dire consequences, both to my health and my marriage. That being said, if I could I would certainly consider their All Day IPA to stock the fridge with. Session ales were originally designed to be lower ABV for sustained durations of drinking, but I am not sure they were thinking about all day. At least they didn’t call  it All Day and All of the Night*.

A golden pour, not as light as some IPAs, and darker than the picture gives it credit for, with minimal head. A brisk aroma, some hops in there for sure. Easy drinking with a citrus fruit background, refreshing,  and with a medium key hoppy finish to remind you it is an IPA. Great hot weather brew for after a way over par golf game where you spent a good deal of time in the sand, hacking and chopping that damn ball into oblivion but not into the hole**.

Not all day or every day, but yesterday for sure, and today is a strong possibility too.

*Editor's Comment: 1964 release by the Kinks, songwriter Ray Davies. Often classified as garage rock or proto punk , the Kinks did it long before the Clash or the Ramones.

**Editor's Comment: For you par for the course is definitely not par for the course.
