Could this session brew name be a reference to RA leaving The Ports before dark? Or a 60’s acid flashback? It did remind me of the Beatles 1965 song of the same name. * But the brew can pic certainly implies an afternoon outdoor outing, ending up in the evening back in your comfy lazy-boy quaffing a cold one. Not under the big sky but in front of the big screen. Sounds like my kinda camping trip.
This is Second Wedge session suds, a light pale ale. The pour is lager like in its presentation, a basic golden clear with minimal head. Not much on the nose. First taste is mild fruit, mild fizz, mild malt. There is some mild bitter with fruit on the finish. Certainly and not surprisingly session-like.
It is a cold refresher, easy drinking, a light bright quencher of a quaff. Would describing this beer a non-descript be oxymoronic?**
