When I saw the name Everyday Magic it reminded me of one of the popular shows from the 60’s, Bewitched. You have this beautiful witch with all kinds of magical powers, and her bozo husband who doesn’t want her to use them. What’s that all about? If that was me I would be getting her to put the finishing touches on the mansion and the in-ground pool and a garage big enough for my motorcycles and the Lamborghini, and to make sure the beer fridge was kept well stocked thank you very much. No big deal, just a few twitches of the nose. What a dweeb that Darren was (both of them). But once again I digress.
This brew had quite a head on its shoulders*, heady and hoppy. Certainly hazy, like a milkshake, with lots of material in action, like a lava lamp. Nice fruity hoppy aroma, not a harsh aroma, and not mild, is there such a thing as a smooth aroma? I guess there is now. Great tasting IPA, mild hops, fruity, with a bit of a zing at the finish, no carbonation to speak of, surprisingly easy drinking for 6.9%. A smooth IPA. I would venture to guess this one is as enjoyable in the evening watching the game as it would be on a hot summer day.
My old buddy JT said he never met a Sawdust brew he didn’t like and this one wouldn’t disappoint him either. Great hazy IPA.
