I always thought a dead man’s switch, apart from being an outdated and politically incorrect gender specific term, was designed to shut down a machine if the operator dies or passes out. I am not sure what it has to do with a clothespin, let alone a beer. They say the beer immortalizes the Kenora bank robbery of 1973? According to the can, this beer is best consumed while doing laundry, hence the clothespin? I will leave it to our editor to figure all of this out.
Nice pour, looking good, noticeably hazy. A faint fruity aroma coupled with hoppiness. This had me worried as I am not a fruity beer fan. However the fruit in the taste is somewhat subdued and faint, enough to notice but not enough to distract. It is hoppy, no doubt about it, they describe it as a “hazy hop bomb”, but I didn’t find it too hoppy. It all came together as relatively easy drinking for a strong IPA, and definitely refreshing. Very enjoyable.
