Due to my keen deductive reasoning (spidey sense), and since this is an Italian style pilsner, I surmised that the word Figo is Italian and it turns out I am correct. Apparently Figo is Italian for “cool”.*
My Figo poured clear and light golden with wisps of white where the head usually is. It has a mid-range malt aroma with some slight graininess. First taste was malt flavour and crisp, not at all hoppy, with a slightly bitter finish. Refreshing with a nice flavour, but a slightly acidic aftertaste that persisted, it didn’t leave things in ruins, but it detracted a bit from an otherwise nice tour of Rome.
If you are looking for Henderson’s best you best try Henderson’s Best which I wholly heartedly agree is Henderson’s best.
