Important Information for Planning Your Next Trip to Radeberg Germany

Radeberger Pilsner

Radeberger Brewery

4.8% Alcohol

According to Trip Advisor, if you’re visiting Radeberg Germany, near the border to Poland and Czechia, the most popular thing to do there is eat and drink.* And the number one place to do that is Radeberger Brauerei Ausschank.** Sounds like JT’s recent trip to Hungary where he was keen to see all the sites….. right after he’d had a brew or two.

This brew is an old country, old school pilsner. The European 27 ml of bonus beer is always appreciated, when it’s a good beer that is.

A very bright pour, golden clear and effervescent. Just to be clear, this beer is very clear. It has a light malt grainy aroma. The first taste is a nice smooth refreshing malt sweet with a mildly crisp approaching acerbic finish. It has a middlin’ mouthfeel. Definitely big swigable with 500 ml of pil to support big swigs. The finish smooths a bit and what remains is quite an enjoyable easy drinking refreshing classic German pilsner. You know it’s a good European brew when not only are you happy it’s 500 ml but you wish it was more.

I think Trip Advisor might be on to something here.

*Editor’s Comment: Radeberg is a small town in Germany with a population of about 18,000. It is just North of Dresden near the border of Czechia and Poland.

**Editor’s Comment: The Radeberger Brewery was founded in 1872 in the town of Radeberg. After World War II the Communist East German government took control of the brewery. After the fall of the wall Binding Brauerei took over the company. In 2004 the Oetker Gruppe (maybe you’ve heard of Dr. Oetker frozen pizza) purchased the group.
