You don’t want to get slashed by this sucker.
Vancouver Island, home of the largest totem pole in the world (no surprise there) and home to the largest hockey stick in the world (??). * and birthplace and current home of Pamela Anderson too. ** The island is frequented by seniors and orcas alike although they typically don’t hang in the same circles, or pods as the case may be. Since the Muskokas are buried under umpteen feet of snow at present we decided to visit the mildest climes in Canada for some island time.
How about a Vancouver Island Brewing’s brewski from the pacified coast. And like the old duck said, an Islander Lager fits the bill. Time to see if it hits the spot too. A golden bright pour with head of foam surfacing sighting. A bit bubbly, with a malt fresh aroma. A middlin’ malt flavour with a touch of fizz, no lager sweet to start, but a hint of fruit in there. Fizz and fruit fade and the malt remains for some nice basic easy drinking down to earth silky smooth and satisfying suds of the lager persuasion.***
