I’ve heard the expression “it’s not rocket science ” too many times* to explain something I really don’t understand, to make me wonder what really is rocket science. It turns out that rocket science is the specialized field of aerospace engineering concerned with the design, development, and building of rockets and spacecraft that travel in or beyond the earth’s atmosphere. I noticed that there is no mention of beer in there, making Cameron’s choice of this name somewhat inexplicable.
Despite the apparent inexplicability, that didn’t prevent them from trying to explain their name selection. They tell us that this beer “will take you on adventures that are out of this world”. An explanation perhaps as far fetched as me understanding rocket science. My hopes are not quite so high, I’d be happy if this light IPA is tasty and refreshing, while my feet stay firmly on the ground. Or on the boathouse looking up at the stars rather than cavorting among them.
Golden and clear a touch of frosting on top for atmosphere. A fresh aroma of mild fruit and a slight suggestion of hoppiness. The taste is tropical fruit with a malt background, hops and bitters in play as well. It’s all happening, lightly and balanced. A watery mouthfeel for easy quaffing. Everything fades a bit but all in equal measure, as balanced as the day is long. No surprise it’s big swiggable.
