Water on the water, beer on the pier. Pier pressure or just good advice? *
Time to lock and roll with Port Dalhousie’s Lock Street and fill it up to the brim to win with Brimstone brewery. But a beer named Pier Pressure could be a Pilsner from Coast, or a Kolsch from Without a Paddle, or a double IPA from Port Jeff, or a pils from Wap, or a sour from Bottle Logic, or an IPA from Hoboken, or ……. It appears craft brewers appreciate a good pun as much as the cranky old men do. But when it comes to pier pressure, you want to be shore of yourself because when the ship hits the fan there will be hull to pay.** A pun-ishing segue, time to pour this micro and tap and tell.
Yes, another micro, the trend continues. A nice hoppy tropical aroma, smells tasty. A smooth mouthfeel with a mild tropical fruit and some hoppy bitters. A light tasty micro but with some full-fledged grapefruit bitters. Usually I’m looking for balance but in this case the bitters are the main attraction and make this head and shoulders, well head anyway, above other micros. An enjoyable light is alright experience.
