It seems like an endless summer up here, hard to believe that I had the old V-Twin out for a cruise yesterday, in November mind you and I didn’t even need to don the long johns! So just like the misfit mango on this beer can hanging ten, I’m hanging on to the end of summer with a juicy IPA of the east coast variety. Hop City Brewing, purveyors of Barking Squirrel and other fine brews, has gone juicy on us with mucho mangos and a plethora of passionfruit with this Misfit.
A bright summer sunshine pour bursting with citrus with a bit of a foam topper to prevent sunstroke. A super tropical juice aroma. Juicy without the couture. First swig was a surprise fizz first fruit second combo that set me back a bit. Will the fizz abate, can it, or decant it? One can only hope. All the hops stayed in the city, they didn’t make the trek to the beach. No hops or zing but a touch of bitter on the finish.
No juicy scandal here, the fizz did leave peacefully and on good terms, without future visitation rights. Nice fruit flavour remains with those slight bitters banished as well. Juicy, tasty, refreshing. A nice easy peasy drinking Hop City East Coast juicy IPA. Endless summer fun.
