Brunswick makes some great beers …. but it also makes some beverages that are only loosely related to beer. This is one of those. Although the can says it is an easy drinking, hoppy light ale …. It is actually some kind of sparkling fruit drink with some beer added.
I know there is a market for such drinks and my old friend SH would undoubtedly be able to describe the market profile in some detail, but it isn’t for me. Let me tell you, if you think you are about to drink a cold ale in the summer and it turns out to be some kind of bubbly soda and beer mix – you are going to be sorely disappointed. My normal crankiness went right up the flag pole.
This may well be a decent fruitish drink …. But it shouldn’t even be on this site. It’s guaranteed to make you cranky. Don’t be fooled by the manly Greek god on the can, this isn’t really beer. I couldn’t drink it and I can’t rate it either.
