This pours very light, it actually looks like lemonade going into the glass. Hazy yellow. Lets put it this way, if snow was this colour I wouldn’t be eating it. White bubbly head. Frisky aroma, citrus and bubbly. Lots of IPAs have citrus notes, often grapefruit. This one is citrus for sure, but not grapefruit, lemon! Smells like Lemon Pledge. The first taste is a lemony session IPA style brew. A bit hoppy but a clean finish, which you would expect from Lemon Pledge. It really is a summer ale. The lemon taste stays but doesn’t overwhelm you. The slight bitter finish reminds me of grapefruit notes but the flavour is lemon.
It is a unique ale. Chill one for the dock on a hot day in August and it might get a better rating.
