The Breakwall boys and girls tell us they are using, and I quote “different hops, malts and yeasts that interest us or happen to wash up on shore.” I don’t know about you, but I’m not too keen on Lake Erie flotsam and jetsam as ingredients in my beer.* Hopefully they found some hops, malts and yeasts that interested them. For shore!
This Session IPA pours golden with lots of particles in suspension, looks like a snow globe. With a thick, dense, and resilient foam dome topper. A juicy hoppy aroma barely discernable through the Erie fog. The foam is unrelenting so a quaff through the froth is necessary. Smooth mild juice with a flat finish and little bit of bitters aftertaste. A light watery mouthfeel, sessionable for sure. The bitters step up and then step back, a do-si-do finish. And the thick foamy head remains.
OK session suds, it started out balanced and ended up with bitters coming and going.
