This is a light, refreshing brew that can be maintained throughout the long NCAA tournament without issue. Light in colour and also taste, it would actually make a pretty good summer beer as well. One of the main claims to fame for this brew is that the can is 568 ml instead of the standard 473 ml tall boy, 20% bonus beer. It gives the can a distinctive look for sure, but I can’t figure out any connection to bicycles* or gear ratios – so I’m at a bit of a loss on what the name means for this one. I will need to consult with our editor who has an answer for everything.
I’ve never had a beer I didn’t like from Amsterdam brewery and this one doesn’t break that trend. These guys are one of the original craft brewers and they seem to have mastered the craft. I do like that they put a lower alcohol beer in a bigger can – because you don’t want to short change your customers. I know some of my friends like big cans, so this will probably appeal to them. Put this one in the refreshing and easy drinking camp.
