Mining 4 a Brasseurs Blonde

A winning combination.

Another Mining 4 Beer event, this one at 3 Brasseurs in Montreal. The joint was hopping, the taps were tapping, the beer was flowing so I was going.  After all, who can say no to an invite from the M4B Brewmeister extraordinaire, Cam the man.  The AC was off, the heat was on, thirsts were high and inhibitions were low, the time was right and so was the price, so the only thing left to do was a brew. All 3 Brasseurs and several more were slinging suds like nobody’s business, despite it being their business.

My Nonic glass * was tapped up and tapped out and full and frothy, the contents highly anticipated. A quaffing was in the offing.

A beauty pour from the Brasseur pros, clear, golden and frothy, the glass perspiring profusely. Malt present and accounted for on the nose. A nice creamy nitro style mouthfeel and a malt  body, some lager sweet, with quite a smooth dry finish. A very easy drinking draft, the Brasseurs’ Blonde is a classic craft tap.

*Editor’s Comment: There are many different styles of beer glasses. The “Nonic” style with a bulge near the top is a standard at British pubs. The bulge serves two purposes, it prevents a wet glass from slipping from your hand, and if the glass is knocked over it lands on the bulge preventing the rim from getting nicked. A no-nick glass, hence the name.

Final Rating: 5 per Brasseur for a 15 out of 20
