I had the fire going and was in my comfy recliner with the Dallas football game on the big screen, a frosty stout at my side and chips and dip at hand. Leaving all worries behind this evening, life is good.
A thick, dare I say substantial pour. I thought I might have to squeeze it out! It doesn’t get any darker than this one. Thinnest of thin tan head. A strong roasted aroma*. First quaff definitely came on strong with a bold roasted flavour, but not smoky. Took a couple of quaffs to acclimatize myself to this strong tasting stout. A full flavoured stout for sure, it works best with a snack, my chips and dip did the trick. Half way through this brew I started to mellow out, could be the fire, could be Dallas in the lead, or it could just be the Mountainview. I savoured the flavour of the last few swigs.
A good traditional stout with a strong flavour start to finish.
