I remember having a Side Launch Midnight Lager a while ago, dark and smooth as silk, delicious. Well it seems like they put all their smooth in their Midnight Lager, because there was definitely no smooth left for their Northbound Lager. Flavourful but not the greatest flavour. And I would be lying if I called it easy drinking. It surprised me, for a low alcohol lager I thought it might be a relaxed quaff but no such luck. It was beer and it was cold but I can’t provide it any more compliments that that. Maybe I just had a bad night but life is too short to try this one again.
