A “strong beer” sticky note on the can of this Oregon craft brew to conform to Canadian standards.
A dark golden pour with plenty of head. More than hazy, its cloudy, but with no chance of meatballs. Bubbly pour with a citrusy aroma.
A foamy mouthfeel, with a grapefruit nice bitey bitter sip. A zingy dry bitter. I can understand how this style of brew could make the ocean voyage from England to India with no refrigeration required.
Deschutes claims their beers aren’t just tasty, they’re damn tasty. Turns out they’re right, with this one anyway. R.A.
