I know what you are thinking. Star Wars days and Jedi Knights. The Force, of course. Jabba the Hutt and nothing but. Maybe there should be a picture of the slave Princess Leia in that metal bikini on the can, how cool would that be.* Ok, now you’ve crossed the line with those sexist thoughts because this brew has nothing to do with the billion dollar Lucas films franchise cheese factory that keeps cranking out Star Wars sequels and prequels. It is in fact about something much cooler, that being justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Now don’t you feel ashamed.
And Justice is served. An orangish red hazy pour, inclusive of particles in suspension. It sure looks juicy. Malt juice aroma, sure smells juicy. Guess what? All the signs were there. It is very sweet juicy with hoppy bitters to boot. All of it is a bit too diverse to start with but here’s hoping it settles into a more equitable arrangement. Nope, unfortunately it doesn’t. The purée like mango/ tropical fruit is a bit too thick and sweet and juicy, the bitters were feeling put out and left for another party.
An unbalanced juicy IPA, that thick sweet fruit purée is over the top, about as subtle as the Death Star. This brew left me feeling a little Karbon negative.
