Two German beers in one week. What is this, Octoberfest in May? A German pilsner named German Pilsner. I wonder who won the “name the beer” contest. So I pour this German pilsner (named German Pilsner) and it foams up like it’s a fire extinguisher. A heady brew for sure. So I don’t end up with the ol’ foam mustache I take the time to read the can while the GP settles down. According to the can, this beer was brewed according to the German Purity Law.  In the year 1516 the Duke of Bavaria declared a new set of laws which regulated the purity of ingredients allowed in beer sold within the kingdom of Bavaria (Germany). Only hops, barley and water allowed in their beer. I guess the Duke had his priorities straight, none of that fruit or vanilla or other ridiculous crap to make their beer trendy. Good law I say.

Nice and cold, easy drinking, a good pilsner from foam to the final tip of the stein.
