Waterloo calls this a Canadian IPA. So that is a Canadian Indian Pale Ale, as in the country India of course, just to be clear. Sounds like a beverage suitable and fitting for an embassy soiree perhaps?
Nice amber-like pour with a bright white boar’s head. This is a fairly low ABV for a traditional IPA and the aroma was light as well. Fresh with a bit of hops, and a touch of fruit but not much of either. Balanced aroma, reminded me of a session IPA with the mild aroma and medium ABV.
First swig had the bitters a bit more prominent than the other elements. As it warmed a bit it was less bitter and more fruit came out. A nice mouthfeel, a bit of a crisp bitter finish but not overbearing and no aftertaste. It is an easy drinking IPA, not quite crushable, but not far off. An enjoyable mild IPA.
