I was feeling a little pale and hazy myself last night so this seemed like a good beer to sample. Some may question whether the right choice when you are feeling a little under the weather is to quaff a frosty mug, but I believe that your mental health is important too, and a cold one was just what the mental health doctor had ordered. Off the grid sounded good, no signal, no problem.
So a hazy pale ale, I didn’t know quite what to expect. True to its descriptor, this beer was light and hoppy but thankfully, it wasn’t too fruity. It was refreshing and unique. Pale definitely, and hoppy hazy. Too hoppy at first but it settled down (or I did?) after a few drinks.
I enjoyed it but I don’t know if I will have another soon. Definitely crisp and refreshing so perhaps it is best as a very hot summer day choice, which makes sense from a Muskoka based brewery.
