With a brew at the BBQ, burning burgers for the brood. Following the COMDB Guide to the Fine Art of BBQ which tells us that well done is well done, I am crisping these patties while partaking in a pint. Now that I have that flurry of fine and fitting alliterations out of the way I can get down to the beer reviewing business, which is a great business to be in. In the movie The Cider House Rules*, Delroy Lindo tells us that “the apple business is the only business you want to be in”. Of course Toby Maguire is a bit confused about what business he is in. Is it the apple business or the doctoring business? A simple life versus a complicated life full of moral dilemmas. But he soon finds out that even a simple life has moral dilemmas to deal with! Digressing? Yet again.
At COMDB the beer tasting business is the only business we want to be in. Sometimes the BBQing burgers and beer tasting business, but mainly the beer tasting business, if it’s any of your business.
What about Party Sharks? It’s not just hazy, it’s downright foggy! As in Cape Breton pea souper rolling in off the coast foggy. Extra pulp hazy foggy. Pretty foggy. A hoppy zingy fruity aroma, lots of citrus, a grapefruit orange extra pulp aroma. Seems consistent with the fog. It tastes of smooth fruit with a bit of zing in the finish but not as hoppy as I thought, and not too hoppy makes me happy. A nice mouthfeel for big burger burning swigs, smooth citrus juicy and delicious, maybe even nutritious? It’s just what the BBQ doctor ordered.
The burgers are burnt, the brood is brooding, but I don’t care, because this foggy IPA is so good.
