Let me tell you about road trips. There was that one to the Kiss concert in TO. Then what about a spur of the moment trip to Kitchener Waterloo Oktoberfest. And all those A-Bay happy hours just South of the border. Or a motorcycle ride from BC to Ontario and then on to Magdalen Islands.
No more cross-country V-twin escapades for me, this time it was a flight to B.C. I bellied up to my favourite kind of bar which was open in more ways than one and serving a Red Truck Road Trip. The price was right so despite the sunny weather it was pouring in Vancouver once again.
A light golden clear pour, a nice lace of froth topside. A malt sweet aroma. The taste is la mem chose, a nice middlin’ malt with lager sweet, no crisp or hops or bitters in this smooth finish. This is a basic craft lager fridge stocker.
A lager that won’t offend anyone and will please most. My socks were still on but no doubt I’d drink more than one out of the icy cooler on a sunny day on top of the boathouse. *
