From boundless to limitless, and now the skies the limit. At least we are starting to set achievable goals. Ironically, and perhaps mercifully, this is a limited release.
This beer had a very hazy pour and a very hoppy citrus aroma, not boozy just very fresh. Thin white head which dissipated quite quickly. Strong hoppy citrusy boozy taste. Slick mouthfeel which I find is typical of these high ABV brews. Grape fruity citrus and bitter combo. The finish became more bitter, and boozy, as time went on. Definitely not smooth, it reminded me of what a grapefruit vodka highball might taste like if I ever ventured to indulge in such a concoction. The novelty wore off quickly and it became a bitter experience. It took me a long time to drink the whole thing and at times I was wondering if I would, or could, or should finish it.
Perhaps a “died in the wool” Imperial IPA drinker would enjoy this one but it was too fruity, hoppy, bitter, boozy for me.
