I remember as a kid bailing out the old cedar strip fishing boat every morning, is the beer name a reference to this? Or does bailout mean parachuting from a plummeting plane?** Or is there a connection between the firefighting apparatus on the can, Capt.25, and bailing out? All these questions remain unanswered, and immaterial. After all, regardless of the name, the beer is the journey.
A fresh aroma slightly malt forward. A light golden pour, a bit hazy with a high white bubbly head, and a fair bit of carbonation in the glass. Bubbles in play. A very subdued grain malt lager flavour, the grains noticeable but not as grainy as some European brews. A good mouthfeel, not watery. The carbonation I noticed in the pour was not nearly as pronounced in the taste.
A very enjoyable, easy drinking and nicely flavoured blonde brew from Capt.25 and the Commongood Beer Company.
