The folks at Sawdust got their inspiration for this beer from a visit to Alsace. Where the hell is that I said to myself, my words exactly.  There’s lots of places I haven’t been to and that’s one of them. Apparently it is a Eastern region of France,  bordering Germany and Switzerland.  Sounds European to me. I checked on famous people from Alsace and I guess Marcel Marceau* is from there, although he didn’t have much to say about it. I parle vous a bit although with Marcel it might be a one sided conversation. Trois Houblon means Three Hops in English.

This beer poured nice golden slightly hazy with its bubbly personality rising to the top in a bright white head. An aroma so fresh it almost froze my nose. Nice mild hop flavour with a bit of fruit, carbonation present.  A light hoppy crisp finish. A bit fizzy.  A nice craft pilsner,  a bit unique but well balanced.  All elements in moderation.

*Editor's Comment: There were many famous cameos in the Mel Brooks film "Silent Movie". As the name would imply, the movie was silent. The only character to speak in the movie was in fact and ironically the famous mime Marcel Marceau, who when asked if he would do a cameo in the movie uttered one word, "Non".
