What the hell kind of name is Bangkok Crosswalk? I don’t know what it has to do with beer but it kind of rolls off the tongue, I like it. They say on the can to “Be deliberate with every step” which I imagine is good advice if you are crossing a busy street in Bangkok. Especially if there is a tiger crossing the other way.
Double dry hopped pale ale. How dry? Double dry. How dry is that? Drier than a 007 martini. Drier than a dust devil on a salt flat. Drier than me after yard work in July. Twice as dry as all that. And crisp. How crisp you ask? Very crisp, sorry but I have used up my simile quota for this review. Let’s just say double dry crisp.
Nice pour, not as pale as one might think for a pale ale by name, perhaps a bit hazy instead. They describe it as a hop forward hazy pale ale. I really enjoyed this brew. Very dry, crisp and refreshing, not very hoppy. They say it has a pleasantly evergreen like bitter finish, I didn’t get that, but maybe that was the crisp I found in the finish. A bit of a cross between an IPA and an ale. Nice flavour, very refreshing.
