I had an opportunity to attend a private tasting of an up and coming London Brewer, Weirdo Brothers Brewing, or WBB for short. Now I know “private function” sounds a bit fancy, but this was beer tasting so sign me up for that. The “brothers” are a very down-to-earth crew – just regular guys, who happen to have a 6 tap keg fridge in their backyard bar. Their beers were all good – although I’m not much of a sour fan and I generally leave the stouts for my buddy RS to review. So I circled round and ended up on the New England IPA which was delicious.
The WBB Punch Me has the snap you would expect from an IPA with a 42 IBU rating. This NEIPA is full of flavour. It pours nicely with a beautiful golden colour and a nice head. There is some citrus overtones with nice balance. There is no taste of alcohol overpowering the more subtle flavours. A great offering from an up-and-coming brewer.
Keep on the look out for this brewer. They might be weird, but they know how to make beer.

Thanks for generous review! It was great meeting you. Hope to see you at a future tasting.
Cheers 🍻
