Hey, wait a minute, it is the shape of a home isn’t it.
Dorthy felt there was no place like it, Pliny the Elder thought it is where the heart is, and Leone Redbone will tell you it’s where you hang your hat.* We’re talking about home of course. As for the shape of home, it’s a pentagon.** Any baseball fan will tell you that. What it has to do with this Pale Ale from Dominion City is anybody’s guess. Me, I’m just here for the beer.
This brew has left the can and found a new home in the shape of my IPA glass, which it fills quite nicely. It has a light golden almost lemony glow to it, a bit bubbly, and with a frothy hop top. A hoppy fresh smell, nice on the nose. First taste is hoppy fresh pine bitters upfront with a stone fruit front to follow, contrary to the usual sequence of events but it works quite well. A little bit of fuzz on the peach. Now it’s all blending together for a great stone tropical fruit hop fest. A soft mouthfeel enhances the experience. It is way up there on the pale ale scale, great beer.
Whether you drink this at home or somewhere else, and regardless of what shape you’re in when you get home, you won’t go wrong by ordering one of these tasty pale ales.
