I wasn’t exactly a cool kid. I think in high school I was voted most likely to be a beer reviewer. But that doesn’t mean I don’t get to visit some of the coolest bars around and downtown Toronto has their fair share. For great selection it’s Beertown. If you want an underground chill vibe there’s Mascot. For a sports bar the Bottom Line; a traditional pub, The Pint. For some upscale suds you can wet your whiskers at The Walrus. But C’est What? is definitely in the running for the coolest cavern to quaff a custom craft in downtown hogtown. Fireplace, pool tables and a laid-back atmosphere make for a comfortable sampling scenario. And some great home brewed brewskis to round out the experience.

Cool can
C’est What? has graced us with Blak Kat, Red Dragon, and a number of other colorful crafts. Tonight it’s Starlight in the spotlight. A very clear and clean golden sheen with a frost of froth. A creamy light malt aroma. And the taste is a malty slightly sweet with a touch of fizz in there as well. A watery mouthfeel with a nice creamy finish. The malt had a bit of an ale edge to it, a balanced combination of lagered sweet and cream ale. A good cool and creamy pub ale from the coolest pub in town.
A cool creamy taste with a watery mouthfeel? C’est what? Correct.
