Quite possibly the ruby reddest random rugby referenced beer we have every poured. ** A bright red with a pink foam head. The aroma is berry fruit and slight sour. The taste is blackberry red berry juicy with a dry slightly tangy finish and aftertaste. It has a nice mouthfeel, and the tang is minimal, almost an afterthought, which makes for a smooth sour. Minimal tang, maximum berry, not balanced and not concerned about it either. A tasty summer fruit refresher.
*Editor’s Comment: Rugby terminology. A scrum is when both teams go shoulder to shoulder pushing against each other and the ball is thrown into the center and the players try to “hook” it to their side. The blindside of the scrum is the side that the opposing scrum half is feeding the ball from. A truck and trailer is slang for an accidental obstruction. The eighth-man binds between the locks at the back of the scrum, providing extra weight at the push. And a try is a score worth 5 points.
