Beer Farm

Clear Lake Brewing Co.

4.5% Alcohol

Stopped by Clear Lake for a brewski and a bite. I drop by here every now and then. I wouldn’t call myself a regular, maybe an irregular? *

What’s new on tap is my go-to brew, and Beer Farm caught my eye. They tell us the name of the brew is inspired by the place the hops came from, that would be The Beer Farm. Speaking of farms, many people have asked me what my good buddy Farmer Steve grows, the answer is old.

Back to our friends at CL and the largest beer spa in the world. I’ve heard it’s so large it can be seen from space. * Maybe that’s from my parking space, but regardless of where you can or can’t see it from, I see my way to the bar and the friendly staff tap me out a Beer Farm extra pale. It’s a shadeless south side surface of the sun hot day, so my dehydration coupled with the glass’s condensation fuel my anticipation.

Very mild juice on the nose, no hops detected. The first taste is mild tropical with bitters leading into a slightly sour dry finish, pucker up buttercup. Second swig, the sours are gone, the fruit stays and the dry finish remains the same. The dry finish is definitely an encouragement to drink more, or another. On my last few swigs I thought I detected a hint of floral?  It all came together quite nicely for a some much needed scorcher of a day drinking hydration.

This fresh from the farm extra pale is an extra tasty hot weather treat.

*Editor’s Comment: Irregular for sure.

*Reviewer’s Comment: You can call me irregular if you want, I don’t give a shit.

**Editor’s Comment: We had previously established that that’s not true.
