Great Lakes claims that this brew is “the orange juice or beer with breakfast answer”. I am not much of a breakfast drinker myself although ol’ Kris Kristofferson tells us “the beer I had for breakfast wasn’t bad, so I had one more for dessert.”*. GL also suggests it is good for a lazy weekend brunch. Not much of a brunch man myself either, after my early morning oatmeal by the time brunch rolls around brunch is lunch. I don’t picture ol’ Kris as much of a bruncher either.
I like to save and savour my brew with a Leafs’ game, like the one last night for example. Sloppy but still two points for the buds with an OT win on the road which I expect left the Blues blue.
Is “Noon is Good” good?. It pours golden sunrise orange and bubbly. A fresh mild aroma, citrus with a bit of hops, perhaps there is a zing in the thing? Taste and time will tell. It has a tropical fruit with a bit of fizz but no hoppy zing, just a fresh finish. Very tasty, maybe one for dessert? Go forth and be fruitful.** Easy drinking with a mild fizz finish. As it warmed the fruit faded a bit and the finish flattened out and some bitters entered the picture, so whenever you drink it, best keep it cold.
