I found a parking space on what some claim to be the most refreshing street in Canada, that some being Brock Street Brewery and that street being Brock Street. We have sampled some BS beers before. That didn’t sound right, did it? Let’s try that again. We have sampled some Brock Street beers before, loved their near perfect Premium Pils. Their Milk Chocolate Stout was a certified cure for nyctocervisiaphobia.* Based on their past pint performances it seemed like a site visit was in order.

Fridge stocking material.
The very helpful staff helped me find a beer I hadn’t sampled before. Have I ever mentioned that I love me an amber?** A lagered amber ale on tap made the decision super easy. Another amber going down.
Lunch was a big, bountiful, bold and beautiful bowl of Beer BBQ wings that were as messy as they were tasty. But this isn’t Cranky Old Men Eating Wings. Time to leave the food reviews to the Zagats*** and get back to drinking beer and tell you all about this amber ale.
Beauty pour, amber clarity in presentation and purpose. A top notch tap of a draft head to top things off. An effervescent essence present, which surprised me a bit. Aroma of mild malt and caramel, amber on my mind and my nose. The taste is mild malt with caramel in balance with a slightly dry crispy finish. As it evolved the dry crisp brought in some mild back-end bitters. A light refreshing amber, not as full as some, it is a draft after all. An easy going and going down amber. I’m not sure if this is the most refreshing street in Canada, but it is a most refreshing street. What I am sure of is that this amber is pretty damn refreshing.
This award winning amber (Silver Medal Winner at the 2018 Canadian Brewing Awards – Best Amber Ale) can add another reference to its resume, a COMDB super suds rating.
