A Cardi B Bacardi Party
Showtime with the Crownsmen and Jerrod and Rory were in fine form as we discussed some deep thought provoking issues while quaffing a cold one. We were inspired with Cardi B quotes* and a crafty west coast Kӧlsch, a potent pairing to be sure.
A Kӧlsch lagered ale to be precise, a sporty shorty from the Vancouver Harbour craft brew emporium, The Steam Works. A previous visit to their e-steamed establishment had included a sampling of their Copper Roof, a super suds amber experience.
This one poured straw light golden, minimal head. A laid back malt aroma. First taste was an easy drinking malt body with some lager sweet in there for good measure and mid bitters leading into a slightly crisp finish. Very easy drinking. It started out balanced but the lager sweet became more pronounced as the glass quickly evaporated due to the thirsty conditions resulting from all the rap queen philosophizing going on.
This Steam Works Kӧlsch works. If Cardi B drinks beer** she might just like it, we did.
