First of all, Frosty the Friendship Dragon looks about as friendly as Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion after a battle with the Night King.* As in not too. Then I got thinking about other frosties, Frosty the Snowman (magical), Jack Frost (mystical) David Frost (topical)*, to go with Frosty TFD (tropical). Hey, what if David Frost interviewed all the other frosts on his show, including of course the dragon in question? Maybe it would go something like this.
David Frost: Welcome to the show. Let’s start with you Jack. Can I call you Jack?
Jack Frost: (says nothing but screen frosts up.)
David Frost: Ok I think that answers my question. Frosty, where do you spend your summers.
Frosty the Snowman: (says nothing but a pool of water is growing below him.)
Jack Frost: That’s embarrassing. Pretty nervous I guess Frosty. And our old friend, Frosty the Friendship Dragon ……
FTFD: (before David Frost finishes his question Frosty the Friendship Dragon leans over and bites his head off)*** Screen goes blank.
So has Flying Monkeys brewed up a friendly or a fiendish? Will we be graced by or victims of Friendly fire? A dull haze no blaze pour. An aroma of juice and mild hops with some malt, a complex fire lizard fricassee. Tasting is a funky juicy hops malt mixer, interesting. Me thinks an evolution is in the offing for this quaffing. It has a bit of a boozy finish, breathing fire. A strong kick or tail flick that almost sends me reeling. A bit too much of everything in this one. Amiable yes, friendly maybe, complex and strong certainly. The evolution is to very juicy not hoppy with a juicy funky boozy finish. Frosty the friendly dragon my ass, more like frosty the friggin’ ass kickin’ dragon. Juicy and a nice taste in there somewhere but a lot going on in this brew.
Interesting, intense, compelling, complex and revealing. That was a David Frost interview. This brew, the same.
