I am. I’m juiced about this new double from Sawdust City. First off, I love me a nice juicy peach, fresh picked from the grocery store shelf, or off a highway side fruit stand, or even off the tree would do. I also quite enjoy a good juicy IPA on the double. And who just happens to be one of our favourites, that’s right Sawdust City. Their Juicin’ was a super suds sampling, now they’re going double or nothing.
The stars are aligned, time to see if they’re super stars. But wait. They’ve already called it super! Have they the unmitigated gall to presume a super suds rating? It’s time to substantiate or repudiate their high and mighty name claim.
Crazy hazy, thick, substantial, in every way a pour of substance. A bright white not inconsequential head tops things off. An aroma of a peachy peach. The taste? A creamy juicy juicer preaching peach with a double decker boozy end kick. Smooth juice, boozy bite, that’s the double we’re talkin’ about here. A big swig double, is it possible? This one is juicy enough to pull it off. The juiciest double ever? Could be, if not the juiciest it’s up there with the juiciest juicers we have sampled. The boozy backend backs off a bit but leaves no doubt it’s a double.
Naming this beer “super” was cheeky of them but also correct. A super addition to the SC juicin’ family.
