As per our Labour Agreement (“The Agreement”) with the COMDB Translation Department (represented by the USTA)* we are required to have them translate all languages on this website that are not English with the exception of Latin, which apparently they take exception to without exception. Speaking of exceptions, there is a little-known codicil in “The Agreement” which allows us to utilize translations already carried out by the brewer. Case in point. Lake of the Woods has taken it upon themselves to translate this beer name for us. Lago Cerveza = Lake Beer.
So here I am having a cerveza by the lago and reading the brew can. LoW goes on to tells us we should share this brew with the senioritas. I do know a Rita who is definitely a senior but I believe she is a teetotaler and shares her tea with her cats. I think I’ll drink this one myself, Rita can get her own damn beer.
A lovely golden pour, with a clear beer under the condensation on my frosty glass. A beauty bright white froth and foam head. A pour to adore. A light fruit aroma but as mild mannered as a superhero’s alter ego. First quaff reveals a malt slight fruit body (apple?) with a crisp dry finish. That fruit seems to evolve into a lager sweet. Lager body, Pilsner finish. A nice balanced light but you’d never know it with its full flavour. It’s a flavour forward refreshing easy drinking light beer by the lake.
