I enjoy a Mӓrzen as much as the next guy, that is if the next guy is wearing lederhosen and drinking from a boot glass. That’s right. I love me a Mӓrzen. And who doesn’t love a story from Stephen Leacock about Mariposa.* Leacock’s summers were spent in Orillia, and his regular visits to Jefferson Short’s barber shop provided lots of local gossip of Mariposian mishaps, merriment, mysteries and misgivings.** So a Couchiching Mariposa Mӓrzen seems like an ideal mix for me.

Adidas Munchen with DPBR coating. Prost!
A ruddy amber pour, semi-clear with a too slim a froth to blow off. A bready malt caramel aroma. The smell of caramel sure is swell. First taste is caramel sweet water, a mild malt background. no hops but a bit of fizz which I fully expect will exit early. A watery mouthfeel, very easy drinking. No bitters no hops no problem. Just like Adidas Munchen shoes*** this brew is designed for mass Oktoberfest consumption.
A bit lighter than a traditional amber, an easy going middlin’ ABV lager that invites you to have another, and another.
