Take it easy, slow and steady, Big Rig is haulin’ an Alpha Bomb. In addition to being a real bomb*, and the signature wrestling move* of “The Alpha Male” Monty Brown, the Alpha Bomb is a Big Rig Hazy IPA. I just poured one into my glass, being careful to avoid any unintended detonations. Now it’s time to determine whether it’s the Bomb or just a bomb.
Pouring yellow golden hazy, with a plentiful foam topping. A fresh hoppy fruity aroma. First swig was fizzy hoppy bitter with the fruit bringing up the rear, an interesting and different sequence, but still tasty. Grapefruit bitters make for not what I would call easy drinking but tasty and refreshing. As I progressed the fizz faded. The bitters came and went like the seasons, only much faster. A good solid hazy IPA for watching Sunday Night football from the comfy lazy boy, but I think it’s real calling is a hot weather thirst quencher and it would have rated a bit higher on the dock or deck or after taking down that damn trampoline.
