The COM did a pit stop at Daft and before we filed our flight plan RA sampled Cool Cool Cool. I asked him what he thought and he said “tastes like beer” which coming from RA is a great compliment. So I was eager to sample this flamingo adorned dry hopped Pils.

A flamboyance, and that’s a fact.
Did you know that a flock of flamingos is a flamboyance! Or that in Roman times flamingo tongue was a rare delicacy and having a roast fenicopterus on the table was a sign of great wealth. And that the flamingo’s mid leg backwards knee bend is actually it’s ankle! A flamboyance of fascinating flamingo facts, some flamingo lingo so to speak.*
This Daft brew has a clear golden countenance, and a bubbly personality feeding a foamy head. A mild malt aroma with a touch of fruit. The taste is malt and crisp but with a soft mouthfeel. Crisp and soft, sounds Daft to me. With a touch of fruit. The soft seems flat, despite the bubbly pour it’s not fizzy. A very slight bitter aftertaste. It’s easy drinking, unique, and very tasty.
Saint Ambrose said “When in Rome do as the Romans do” but I think I’ll pass on the flamingo tongue appetizers. But when it comes to this beer, I’m all in. Cool Cool Cool is good good good.
