Fiercely committed to not caring much.
Is Asok Wally’s young rival or mentee? Will he ever be able to muster the passion that Wally displays for apathy or does he just not care enough. Scott Adams answers these important questions and more in what is perhaps the penultimate business book of the last quarter century, “Dilbert’s Guide to the Rest of Your Life”.
As far as Merit Brewers are concerned, the young rival is the city of Hamilton “the underdog, overlooked at times and at times looked down upon.” That could well be in reference to the Hamilton Tigercats, definitely the underdog in the CFL, a spot they have unfortunately earned.* A funny thing about Hamilton is Eugene Levy, Dave Thomas and Martin Short are all from there.**
This Young Rival is no underdog, but Merit’s flagship IPA. A deep orange golden pour, thick and hazy with some bubbles for your troubles. A smooth juice and hops aroma in unison. The taste is a real nice juicer, peach citrus, a touch of malt and some pine bitters on the finish, the Hamilton fills harmonic. It has a sumptuous full mouthfeel. A soft friendly juicer of a pillowy pint, it had me cheering for the underdog. Have no fear, underdog is here.***
