Do you know what the secret is to keeping a slim trim figure at an advanced age? Me either, I was hoping you’d know.* What I do know is that a bottle of beer is about 200 calories and a bottle of wine is about 650 calories. Just saying.

This brew is an alliteration waiting to happen. Bellwoods Beertown Beer Belly. We have sampled a couple of Beertown collabs.** Vistas of Truth wasn’t lyin’ and their Trial by Muskrat got a super suds verdict. Bellwoods is a regular at COMDB with 11 reviews to date. We did some canine conjuring with Wizard Wolf  and their Purple Paisley was a colourful review.

As far as colourful goes, this brew pours Bananarama yellow, with a slim trim white over this beer’s belly. A nice light fruit aroma, hopless and hopeful. The taste is a citrus juicer with a touch of hoppy sour and a pillowy mouthfeel. A very mild as in barely there bitter on the finish. Middlin flavour, pillowy mouthfeel and light just right hops make for a very easy drinking pale. Light flavour and mild hops with a beach ball on a seal’s nose balancing act.

Sky high drinkability” is what they tell us, and they ain’t lyin’.

*Editor’s Comment: Although both phrases “me either” and “me neither” are used, some (including me) would consider the term “me either” grammatically incorrect.

*Reviewer’s Comment: Me either.

*Editor’s Comment: You’re insufferable.

*Reviewer’s Comment: Thank you.

**Editor’s Comment: Beertown does 4 collabs a year, teaming up with their favourite local craft brewers.
