Going by the numbers, this IPA No. 22 is in fact IPA review No. 134 to date for COMDB. It appears that Collective Arts has over 232 different beers to choose from on their website, not including specials. As patrons of the arts, Collective Arts that is, this our 8th review of a Collective Arts offering, 4 of them being IPAs. And this is my first and last IPA of the evening.
My only artwork would be paint by the numbers, but Collective Arts offers some pretty wild and crazy frescos on their frescas. The nightmarish and colourful combination of dinosaurs, sliced serpents, dragons and ghosts on this one is the artwork of Jazmin Saunders.
We have had some other CA brews in the past that have successfully fused taste and style. Time to see how this one adds up. This New England IPA pours a golden and juicy composition with a slim trim whim of a head to frame the picture. There is an aroma of fruit and busy, busy being fizzy. First stroke has lot of fruit and a slight fizz with a juicy funky finish. It is an interesting sequence and mix, and it works, all well balanced. Â Usually I am not a fan of the fizz but in this case it is mild and seems to balance with the fruit and the finish. A nice hazy juicy fruit forward New England IPA.
