Puff, puff, pass.
Back in my day dragons were cute playful things, like Puff the Magic Dragon. Those subliminal messages about marijuana usage never affected us, or did they Fonger? * These days dragons are fire and brimstone 7 days a week, not just Sunday morning.
We’ve sampled a few dragons in our day. There was that nitro red Red Dragon, and that downtown brown Green Dragon. We were hit by some friendly fire from Frosty the Friendship Dragon, and sipped and savoured a Dragon Stout.

A flagon of dragons. **
It’s great to be doing some Gateway City suds sampling once again. Their past brews were named after local landmarks and this one is no different. Dragon’s Tail is a wonderfully winding mountain biker trail near North Bay. The GC’s denim and plaid clad dragon on the can has more tail than Medusa and is two thumbs up about this hazy IPA. Time to see if we agree.
Hazy light OJ right out of the gate, the half finger head of feisty foam was there from first quaff to last drop. It has a very light tropical juice aroma. A light but full mouthfeel, how did they do that? The first taste is tropical fruit stone fruit all light and hazy, with some mild hops slight bitters on the finish. Do I detect some pineapple? Very easy drinking this is a full ABV sessionable. And as one would expect, or hope, it is definitely big swiggable.
Balanced and easy drinking with equal parts juice and hops. Wish I had a flagon of this crazy hazy dragon. **
