Down on the farm again, this time the Anderson homestead and rustling up an amber. I love me an amber. But will I love me this amber? I enjoyed their cream ale draft so hopes are high and wide.
A pretty bright new penny copper pour of the amber cambre, it looks like head is optional. A full malt assault on the nose. Pairing with my Costco 50% cashews, settling in for the game and a higly anticpated ale.
First swig is a full malt caramel amber with some finishing bitters thrown in their too, almost too much, almost. Not for amber rookies or newbies. This is hard core amber. A very full robust flavour, with bitters bordering on harsh but not quite. Flavour of the month! Not smooth but flavourful.
It’s not my favourite amber, but maybe my flavour-ite.
